But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. I remember hearing when I was growing up that money was the root of all evil. You hear it in movies and music and all kinds of media. It’s one of those catch phrases that has latched itself onto certain elements of our culture.
But if you read carefully, the origin of it is slightly, but significantly, different.
