Everywhere in scripture that we see the Lord we see Him acting in love. His mercy is love. His forgiveness is love. His grace is love. His wrath is love.
All He asks of us is that we dare to love Him in return.
He is simple, so why do we make things so complicated? Because we have not yet learned to love.
God,
I thank you for coming beside us each and every day and teaching us how to grow in our love for You. As we love You more we come to love our neighbors more because we know that the Holy Spirit is in those who believe and desires to be in those who do not believe. Help us to love as you love. In Jesus' name. Amen.
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8
