let your ear be attentive and your eyes open, to hear the prayer of your servant that I now pray before you day and night for the people of Israel your servants, confessing the sins of the people of Israel, which we have sinned against you. Even I and my father's house have sinned. - Nehemiah 1:6 ESV
Isn't it wonderful that He heard us? We can talk to God with the expectation that He hears us and will answer our prayers. We just have to take the leap of faith to believe that He will come through instead of always trying to do everything by ourselves.
Give God a chance. He won't let you down. He may not answer in the way that you want or expect Him too. That is because we seldom know what is best for us.
Trust Him.
