From The Mercy Seat

You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you. And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel. - Exodus 25:21-22


God,


From the very beginning you met us at the mercy seat. We thank you for your mercy. We know that your mercy is the fullness of your love and truth. Even when it feels like everything is going wrong or that we are living lives of punishment and pain we know that the mercy seat is the place where you meet us. You always have mercy on us and reach out to touch us with your loving hand.


Please help us to see the truth of our circumstances so that we understand why we are going through the various trials we experience day to day. Please help us to see the doors you are opening in our lives so that we can walk into the Promised Land of our purpose you have designed for us. Thank you for the lessons that you have and will continue to teach us along the journey there. We want to be good stewards of your blessing.
