#TeamJesus

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith. For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord. How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith. 1 Thessalonians 3:7-10

For those of you who have used twitter before you are probably familiar with trending topics. Trending topics are the topics that are being talked about the most at any given time on Twitter. When someone on twitter wants to start a new topic or conversation they tend to state the topic starting with a “#” symbol. This way if someone likes the particular tweet then they can click on that tag and see other ones on the same topic.

Well, a while back I stumbled upon “#TeamJesus”.
Intrigued, I decided to click on it to see what it was all about. What I discovered were a bunch of folks sending out messages about Jesus!

It was interesting to see the wide variety of themes from the different tweets. You had folks who sent out only scriptures. There were other folks who spoke on their beliefs and religious philosophy and others who just called out for prayer and help. There was some good, some bad, some real and some not so real. But all in all it was reflective of what the Jesus folks on twitter were thinking at that very moment. It showed how big the community is out there.

No one can walk the journey of faith alone. The path is riddled with potholes and traps of discouragement and setbacks. There are always people around who are trying to make you stumble or even just pull you back to where they feel most comfortable.

That is why it is important that we find a community of folks who we can vibe with, a group of people that we know will support us and simultaneously set us straight. If you try to go it alone you will eventually fall.

No matter who you are and what you are trying to do there are groups of individuals who are doing the same thing. Seek them out and make some new friends. Odds are these will be the very people who help you see your own personal path to its ultimate end.

  1. Hello Man of God, This is so true. We are an Ephesians 4 group of people. "He Himself gave some Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors, and Teachers for the work of the ministry, for the equipping of the saints".

This is the Body of Christ...

We all need one another so very much. Once we come into this understanding, then maybe we can respect one another for our differences and not beat each other up about them.

I thank God for you and your ministry, you have made a tremendous difference in my life. Thanks for allowing God to be God through you.

    Much Love
