Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, and so that you may live long in the land that the LORD swore to your forefathers to give to them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey. -Deuteronomy 11: 8-9
Am I the only one who things that Deuteronomy is starting to sound pretty redundant?
Love God, focus on God, remember God, don’t forget what God did for you and your forefathers.
Geez.

The best ones I have seen are about the ones who fell and resurrected themselves somehow. They always have one of those “if I knew then what I knew now” moments that made them want to go back in time and smack their younger selves.

That’s so very hard to do.
Greatness is being humble enough to know what got you where you are and the ability to stay true to that.
This will be important for all of us. As we move forward and reach each new milestone, take a moment to remember how you got there.
This is why I love those award show moments. For someone to reach the mountain top and declare to the world that God got them there… that’s such a profound statement.
It’s not just a statement of faith, but also a statement of humility and focus.
